The SQLSoldier World Tour kicks off this next Friday when I head up to Vancouver, in British Columbia, Canada. I will be doing 1 session on Saturday called Implementing Contained Databases. If you haven’t worked with this feature yet, I think I have quite a few things to tell you that you weren’t aware of (including 1 bug I files that’s supposed to be fixed in a future release). The MVP Summit is in Redmond, WA, right after the event, so there will be a lot of big names at this event.

A couple of months later, I will be attending SQLBits XI in Nottingham, U.K. I will be giving an all-day pre-con on Extreme Data Recovery with Argenis Fernandez (blog|@DBArgenis). I will also be doing a regular session on 10 Things all BI System Administrators Should Know. I’m really looking forward to having a few beers with a whole new set of SQL peeps.

Where will I go from here? It’s too early to tell. I’m changing jobs at the end of March, and I do not yet know for sure where I will land. I’m not sure how much opportunity to travel to events I will have with this new position. I really want to try to make it down to Brazil either this year or next, if I can.
